Pros vs Cons Of Ingesting CBD As Tinctures Or Edibles

pros cons ingesting cbd oil tincture edible cannabidiol swallow

CBD oil is indeed one of the best-known natural supplements you can get nowadays, especially since it has already been made legal in many different countries. This wonderful supplement is supposed to be beneficial for a host of medical conditions, and this includes diabetes, insomnia, stress and anxiety, chronic pain, and a lot more. Although we still need to figure out more about how the compound itself works, its potential is far-reaching for tinctures and gummies.

The beauty of CBD oil is that when you take it, you don’t have to worry about some of the common side effects associated with pharmaceutical drugs. It is not quite as powerful as Delta 8, but CBD (cannabidiol) still has many valuable properties. If you want more powerful effects and a little more of the THC experience then you should learn about Delta 8 potency in greater detail before reading the rest of this article.

You can take CBD oil using different methods, but by far, the most popular method is the sublingual method (taken as a tincture), with the consumption of edibles being the second most popular one, especially for those who are new to the supplement.

So which way should you opt for, then with your cannabidiol consumption? Here is a look at the pros and cons of ingesting CBD as a tincture and as an edible.

The Sublingual Way

The sublingual method is highly recommended for those who would like to experience the effects of CBD quick and fast. Here is how it works: you can simply buy CBD oil in tincture form, and the concentration of the compound can vary from around 2.5 per cent to up to 25 per cent. The tincture comes in a small bottle, much like a bottle for eye drops, and you can ingest it by placing a few drops of the tincture under the tongue. You have to hold it in there for about half a minute to get the best effect, and then simply swallow it. The sublingual method is quite discreet and effective, giving you the full benefits of CBD in no time.

There are many advantages to this method, first of which is the fact that it is easy for anyone to use and it doesn’t require the purchase of any tools or special accessories. With the sublingual method, you can also easily control the dosage, and the effects can be quite immediate as well. This method may have different results from one person to the next, however, so you have to determine the correct dosage for you. And although you can feel the effects almost immediately, it is still not as fast as other methods such as smoking or using a vaporizer.

Eating It As An Edible

You can also consume CBD as an edible, usually as gummies or candies. It is a method that is fun and easy, particularly for beginners, and it’s discreet as well – you can simply eat the gummies or candies in public. Compared to the other methods, the effects of consuming CBD this way are longer-lasting, although it may take from two to four hours to kick in. Furthermore, you have the option to make your own edibles, such as pasta or butter infused with CBD.

But you have to be careful of the supplement dosage, because you may end up eating too much of the edible! It may take a bit of experimentation and trial and error, but once you get it right, you can take full advantage of the CBD edibles compound and its benefits.

How To Maximize Energy And Health As A Business Owner

how to keep up energy healthy business owner workplace wellness

As a business owner, it is only natural to want to pour your heart and soul into your ventures, doing all you can to ensure the business succeeds and your goals are reached. And for that very reason, it is quite common for business owners to feel physically and emotionally drained, as it seems every ounce of energy is devoted to the company. While it is an admirable quality, it is not one that can be sustained for the long-term. Not only is it unrealistic, since it takes away from any sort of balance and personal life you have, but it will also lead to burnout, which will negatively impact your company.

So, how can you best keep up your energy and health as a business owner and make sure the company is able to get the best of you while maintaining a health work/life balance? Here are some tips that can help.

Learn How To Pace Your Day

The first thing to master is learning how to pace your day. If you are firing on all cylinders all day long, you will find this will be impossible to keep up. Instead, play to your strengths and give yourself enough time to recover. What this means is you should schedule your most arduous, important tasks during the hours of the day you are most alert and energized, as then you can look after those secondary tasks in the other parts of the day.

It may even be helpful to use a scheduler or planner where you can write things down in each time block of the working day.

Don’t Be Afraid To Delegate

Sure, it’s your business, so ultimately the success of it lies on your shoulders, but that doesn’t mean you can do everything and be everything in the company. Learning how and when to delegate tasks and responsibilities is not only good for your mental health, but good for the business. You will be able to take advantage of the many skills and talents that your employees have.

Ensure You're Eating A Healthy Well-Balanced Diet

Another tip to helping you maintain your level of energy is to make sure you are eating a healthy well-balanced diet. If you are rushing from one task to the next with no breaks in between, there is a good chance your diet is taking a hit. Perhaps you are living off fast-food and quick meals, which just aren’t going to give you the kind of nutrients you need.

There are ways to make quick meals that are ideal for busy mornings, or even taking with you on the go - it just requires a little thought and planning. You can even add ingredients and supplements that help to give items that extra punch. Take for example the wide array of nutrient-packed CBD food recipes. You can combine all the important nutrients and vitamins, and include a shot of CBD oil which can help to reduce stress and anxiety.

A Healthier You To Dedicate To Your Company

By following these tips, you will be ensuring that you have created a healthier form of yourself that you can dedicate to your company. Maintain your health and maximize your wealth!

4 Simple Tips To Achieve A Normal Body Weight

Before you start losing some stubborn fats, make sure to consult first with your doctor. Once everything is right, then let's begin your journey to achieve your ideal body weight

1. Start Eating Healthy Food

If you want to shred some weight, it's time for you to eat healthy and nutritious food. We suggest that you eat green leafy vegetables and citrus fruits. They are rich in fibers and promote low carbs that can help you significantly reduce your weight.

Expert Tips: Before you start eating a meal, make sure to drink at least one to two glasses of water. It will help you to become fuller and lessen your appetite in eating. That's a true frugal fitness tip since it costs nothing but gets results fast!

2. Home Food Is Better Than Restaurant Food

Restaurant foods in London are very tempting. They offer flavorful foods to satisfy the urge of the customers, especially the tourist. That's because they add extra sugars, fats, and salts to produce the world's tastiest food.

However, more stuff in foods means more calories inside the menu. Once you eat all of these, your body will gain extra weight. To solve these problems, we recommend eating more home foods rather than restaurant foods.

Home foods offer fewer carbs and sugar content because you can moderate the food ingredients. Not only that, but it also provides more nutrition and is less expensive compared to fast and unhealthy foods.

3. Start Drinking More Water

Did you know that London's tap water is one of the best and safest to drink in the world?

That's because people living in London promote wellness and are eager to reduce the usage of plastic bottled water, which affects the environment.

Also, drinking fresh water is better than drinking carbonated drinks because it flushes away sugar and toxins inside your body. As such, your kidney will be cleaned out, and it will significantly boost your metabolism.

4. Provide Your Body With Complete Sleep

Sleeping is vital to your health, and it is connected to your weight. If you have a complete and well-rested body, it will affect your overall wellness.

Once your body is completely rested, your organs absorb all the nutrients from the food you intake in a quick state. As such, it will generate energy that helps you complete your daily activities or fitness center workouts with less weight gain.

UK Sick Days And The Supplements Solution

uk sick days dietary supplements help immune system

Staff sickness is a problem in the UK, but could it be remedied by employers providing their workforce with supplements?

These Dietary Supplements Could Help Improve Your Health

Reports suggest that UK workers fear taking time off, meaning employees are reporting to work ill, according to the Office for National Statistics. Last year, the average employee took 4.2 days off due to sickness, with members of the public sector said to lose 3.5% of their working hours because of ill health related issues.

However, Frankie Brogan, a Senior Nutritionist for Pharma Nord states that this could be significantly lowered if companies introduced the right nutritional approaches: “Companies are all for enhancing their colleagues’ well-being. Whether it is providing free gym facilities or fruit bowls, looking after your workforce’s health can prove beneficial for their productivity and morale.

“Supplements are a great way to boost your team’s health and nutrition, which will in turn enhance their performance. By offering supplements to your colleagues, they will also benefit from the knowledge that you care for their well-being.”

A big concern for businesses remains stress-related illnesses. A survey carried out by well-being specialists, Forth, found that 85% of adults in the UK regularly experience stress. There are many supplements that could help relieve your stress levels. And supplements such as Coenzyme Q10, for example, can contribute to normal cognitive function.

Dry eyes from staring at a computer are also often an issue for office workers. This problem can be helped by taking regular screen breaks; but general hydration is also aided with Omega 7, which can also help with irritated eyes.

Magnesium can help with muscle and nerve function. Studies have found that this mineral supports sleep and, as pointed out above, stress can be caused by tiredness. While many workforces offer free fair trade coffee and tea facilities, magnesium supplements could be a great opportunity to reduce fatigue in the workplace – with a staggering 76% of the UK’s workforce claiming to be tired most weekdays.

Seasonal changes should be factored in, too. Especially for those who work in an office-based role, winter can leave us with a significantly low level of vitamin D due to the lack of sunlight. This can mean that our immune system may falter as it’s not getting the nutritional benefits required.

Vitamin D3 is one supplement that can contribute to the normal functioning of the immune system, therefore maintaining a healthy workforce. In fact, public health advice for the UK even recommended this supplement for a ‘top up’.

One in five of the UK’s population have low vitamin D levels. For many of us, our diet simply won’t provide sufficient levels of the nutrient, so the supplement can be a quick and easy way to enhance our intake.

“While supplements aren’t a ‘replacement’, they can be beneficial and provide nutritional goodness,” added Brogan. “They are a cost-effective way to support your immune system and enhance your overall well-being.”

In the UK, productivity levels are still lagging behind neighbouring countries. A well-being process being put in place by companies could help engage staff, and increase productivity. Of course, just offering dietary supplements isn’t enough, but it can certainly help towards creating a healthier workplace.

Other ‘perks’ being used to reduce pressure levels in addition to dietary supplement use include flexible working. This can help reduce stress levels and promote a better work-life balance. According to a YouGov survey, one in five workers are currently dissatisfied with their work-life balance and complain about always being ‘switched on’. By allowing your staff an element of flexibility you will show an understanding to their circumstances, meaning they’ll be more likely to be fully productive on the hours they are in work.

This also applies to remote working, too. Technology is allowing more roles to be completed away from the office, meaning working from a remote location is possible – and sometimes preferred.

While supplements may go under the radar as being one of the ‘top perks’ offered, they may well be one of the most important if they contribute to a healthier workforce.

Fitness Center: What You Need To Know Before Starting Your Own?

how to start your own fitness center business health club company gym startup

Operating a successful fitness center or gym may sound challenging, especially the first time business owners. Being an instructor is different from being an entrepreneur because you have not only had to focus on training your clients but also on managing and growing your business. You may find yourself overwhelmed by other priorities such as hiring and managing staff, marketing, increasing revenue, and providing excellent customer services.

While you may visualize running your fitness center as an easy job, however, there are many things that you need to know before taking your business off the ground:

1. Build The Best Team!

When you have great people working for you, your business success is guaranteed. A good team helps you running the system and processes smoothly. In addition to keeping the system running the right way, it is a service business where you are supposed to serve your clients well. Your team must be as passionate about fitness and helping others- colleagues and clients- as you are. Not only it leaves a good impression on your clientele, but also is one of the biggest factors in growing your business.

Your team should be knowledgeable about various exercises and the usage of equipment, to prevent any sort of personal injury. Many new gym owners make a mistake of hiring incompetent staff who don’t have sufficient knowledge or don’t focus on clients’ training properly that leads to injuries.

2. Wisely Spend Your Money

You need to pay your staff well. So consider hiring the best trainers and pay them well. You need to take the decision from their perspective too, not only your own. You need the best people to work for you for the long term. They won’t stay with you if you are underpaying them.

Don’t get caught by the view ‘never talk about money’. You need to make the cost of operations and equipment clear to your staff. Moreover, opt for a place that you can afford. Opening a big gym seems exciting, but it will drive you to the closure if you don’t meet your expenses.

3. Bound Clients With Agreement

Now here comes the legal aspect of your business. It is essential as a personal trainer to have a clear and straightforward agreement with your clients that they must accept and agree before they train with you. This agreement states the details about your services, things your clients need to do and it must limit your liability. Such as disclaimer about the results, to avoid misleading them about your offerings if they don’t put their own efforts.

Moreover, it should contain the clauses stating that you are not responsible for injuries, and the client must seek medical clearance before buying a gym membership. These things are most important to avoid business lawsuit of any type from the client.

4. Focus On Your Niche

A client cannot differentiate between the gyms; your exclusive image and gym environment. You need to determine whether you want to keep your gym only for people who want to get in shape or want some additional services. Better focus on one thing in the beginning, then you can provide certain value- added services such as massage or physiotherapy later.

5. Work On The Right Things!

To succeed, you must work on the right things. You need to play two different roles: of a personal trainer and a gym owner. You were a personal trainer previously, but once you become a gym owner, things are way different than simply booking clients, answering the phone, and advertising. As a gym owner, your responsibilities grow. So, it is important to work on your business.

Top Tips For Tastier Protein Shakes On A Budget

lean startup life tastier protein shakes budget businessman

Protein is a vital part of any fitness regimen and if you’re in the business of making any serious muscle gains, it may be impractical to get the amount of protein you need just from your diet. This is especially the case for lean startup owners and entrepreneurs since they are so busy and often times strapped for cash.

Protein shakes are a staple among avid gym-goers and bodybuilders because of the high amount of protein that can be consumed from a single glass or cup. However, many individuals, particularly beginners, can’t really stomach the taste of a protein shake but that’s usually because they follow the instructions on the protein powder packaging without adding any tweaks or customizations to their drink. Those instructions are sometimes meant to make you use up the protein powder faster or avoid additional calories.

What then happens is that drinking the shake becomes a chore and they slowing start drinking less and less, thereby halting or limiting potential gains. Adding some flavor to your protein shake, and mixing it up from time to time is the key to your long-term success.

This article touches on a few simple but impactful ways to make your protein shakes much more palatable.

1. Use Milk Instead Of Water

Protein shakes are often mixed with water as it's considered the healthiest option. Mixing protein shakes with milk, though, also has benefits. Not only will the shake taste better, but you'll receive a boost of protein which can also help your muscles recover more quickly.

2. Try Flavored Coconut Water
If you're looking for a tastier protein shake but don't want to increase your caloric intake, coconut water (or even flavored coconut water) might be an option to consider. Coconut water has a plethora of benefits, including replenishing electrolytes such as potassium, reducing cholesterol and overall added protection for your immune system.

3. Tastier Protein Powder

Sometimes, taste is all about the type of powder you use. Some brands have different flavors to choose from, such as chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and even cookies and cream, but the brands themselves also add their own unique twists that can impact taste.

Switching up the type of protein powder you use can lead to a tastier protein shake. You should experiment with different protein powders to find the right brand or line that makes your taste buds flutter.

4. Add Fruit Or Yogurt

One of the most iconic ways to add tastiness to your protein shake is to include fruit, yogurt, or both. The possibilities are endless. You can add fruits such as:

- bananas
- strawberries
- blueberries
- raspberries
- mangoes
- pineapples
- cherries

Any type of fruit you can add to a blender will undoubtedly add taste to your protein shake. On top of that, yogurts often combine flavors on their own which can also give your protein shake some added flavor. Furthermore, yogurt will give your shake / smoothie even more protein, calcium + probiotics. Some lean healthy recipes you can check out:

5. Add Ginger Or Peanut Butter

Two lesser-known taste building options for protein shakes are ginger and peanut butter. Ginger adds spice and sweetness to shakes but the taste can be rather explosive in large quantities. A small, dime-sized portion is really all you need to get that intriguing flavor without being overwhelmed. Peanut butter will thicken your shake some, giving it more of a nutty taste and feel.

Ginger can also help to ease the pain from your workout, while peanut butter adds extra protein. In any case, adding these two ingredients, either by themselves or together, will certainly give your taste buds a new sensation that will make your protein shake a delicacy instead of a chore.

6. Chill It

What’s better than a nice, cold drink after a workout? Nothing. Well, nitpickers may argue that room temperature or warm drinks are better for digestion compared to those made with ice cubes from vending machines, but while that may be true, the benefits are minimal and there’s no doubt that a cold drink tastes better to most of us - especially after working out.

We can’t have it all, however, so the best middle ground is having your shake at a nice, chilled temperature (somewhere between room temperature and cold). Enjoy these tasty protein shakes on a lean budget!

Stop The Excuses And Get Healthier

stop excuses get healthier more productive lean startup life

As an entrepreneur, you know that there's no such thing as excuses. Especially when it comes to fitness excuses. Everyone would like to be fitter and healthier, and maybe shift a few spare pounds. But the reality is that humans are hardwired to conserve as much time and energy as possible. Of course, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and has probably helped our species survive. For example, if a prehistoric man or woman decided they wanted to lose weight, they would have starved themselves to death in a relatively short space of time. But this fact does pose a problem when it comes to motivating yourself to beat off the excuses and get out there and get fit and healthy.

Effectively, you’re fighting against evolutionary memory. But we don’t live in caveman times right now. We aren’t hunter-gatherers, and most of us spend a significant amount of time sitting down all day - not to mention the high-calorie foods we eat. So the reality is we have to push ourselves to get up and workout, or we’re going to end up in an unhealthy state. With this in mind, here are some common excuses your body and mind are trying to tell you - and how to defeat them. Give yourself the gift of accountability!

I Don’t Know How To Be Healthy

There is a wealth of information on the web on how to work out efficiently, and there are suitable exercises for any person, situation, or personal need. You can get all this helpful advice - for free - and learn the basics and develop your own workout programs in an hour or so of your time. And even if you find that too much of a task, there is plenty of help out there that can give you everything you need on a plate. Whether you head to your local gym in person or visit free websites for exercise advice, finding quality advice is a lot easier than you might think. And if that’s still too hard - get yourself a personal trainer!

I Don’t Have Enough Time

“I don’t have time” is, without doubt, the most common fitness excuse of all. And it’s an easy one to pull out, too. But let’s be honest. Watching TV, surfing the web, having a few drinks after work - most of us do all these things, and nothing is stopping you from replacing a few of these occasions with a workout. It’s not like working out has to take up an excessive amount of time, either. Try some HIIT for a half hour every day, and it will only take up to 2% of the time in your entire week.

I Hate Working Out

Exercise is tedious is another excuse. But lots of things in life are dull and boring, and we would rather not do them - but we do. Who enjoys cleaning their teeth? Who likes washing up, or cleaning around the house? Is there anyone in history that has ever actually enjoyed taking the kids on the school run? Is there anyone out there that enjoys doing their tax returns? The reality is that even if you hate exercise, you need to do it for the benefit of your health and longevity. Whether it’s boring is irrelevant.

I’m Too Exhausted

We get it - life is increasingly hard. But if you feel tired, there are probably a few reasons why. Firstly, it’s your mind fighting against you, which we covered in the intro. But secondly, it’s possibly down to the fact that you aren’t getting enough exercise anyway - or sleep, for that matter. But now let’s say that you do start working out. As Fat Burning Fitness points out, as you progress, you’ll find you have more energy, get a better night’s sleep, and feel a whole lot better about yourself.

I Am Too Busy Being A Parent

OK, so this particular excuse is a slight spinoff from the previous one. Kids can be incredibly tiring, of course. And they also require a lot of your time. But if they are stopping you from getting exercise and your health and weight in check, it’s going to be their problem - not yours. You want the best for your kids, right? And if you are telling them the benefits of exercise without doing any yourself, they aren’t going to buy it. And you don’t want to burden them with an incredibly ill parent, either. So, get out there and find the time - swap exercise days with your partner, if possible. And take your kids with you, too - workout together. Not only will it get everyone in the family super healthy, but you won’t be missing out on spending time with them, either.

I Am Not Motivated

This is a tricky one, and again, it’s down to mindset. However, one thing needs to be made clear - you shouldn’t have to be motivated to exercise. As we pointed out earlier, working out and exercise is vital to your overall health and wellbeing. It will help you live a longer, happier life, and keep you active well into old age. It will help you be brighter and more productive at work. That’s your motivation, right there.

I Have A Tight Budget

It As we discussed earlier, the gym isn’t your only option. There is plenty of free advice online, fitness apps, and all kinds of other information you can access for free when it comes to workout tips. And if you can’t afford regular gym payments, just go outside and look around you. A low hanging tree branch could be the perfect pull-up bar. Your local forest gives you a wonderful chance of experiencing nature while you take your morning or evening jog. And you can always go down the Rocky Balboa route by chopping logs in your backyard. There are so many fitness activities you can do without spending a dime - just use your imagination!

No more excuses! Everyone faces obstacles, it’s all about how you react to them that counts. Good luck!

Do The DASH Diet For Heart Health

heart healthy dash diet hypertension prevention lean startup life maximize muscle mental performance

At Lean Startup Life, we're not ones to always jump on the diet bandwagon. We believe in healthy consistent eating choices along with regular workouts and healthy life choices. But for many people hypertension (high blood pressure) is a life-threatening issue. That's where the DASH Diet can come into play and help your heart.

DASH stands for Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension. DASH diet has been clinically proven to reduce blood pressure within 2 weeks in individuals following the diet. It is not only known to help manage the blood pressure but is also designed for weight loss programs, helps to prevent heart diseases, stroke, diabetes and some forms of cancer.

Who Should Follow A DASH Diet Eating Plan?

In fact, a DASH eating plan can be a part of any healthy eating plan. Not only, will it help lower blood pressure but it will offer additional heart health benefits including lowering LDL cholesterol and inflammation. How does the DASH eating plan work? The diet consists of foods that are low in sodium and consists of a variety of foods that are rich in nutrients like potassium, calcium and magnesium are known to help lower blood pressure. The diet is rich in fiber that again helps to lower blood pressure and knock off the extra pounds which will in-turn assist in lowering blood pressure.

What Should You Eat On A DASH Eating Plan?

- Grains like whole wheat, brown rice, barley, oats, quinoa are packed with nutrients like proteins, B-vitamins and trace minerals, fiber and antioxidants which has been shown to reduce the risk of several diseases. However, processed grains lack most nutrients and should be avoided.

- Include fat-free or low-fat milk, yogurt, Greek yogurt in your diet instead of full-fat options. For those who are lactose intolerant, lactose-free milk and milk products are an option.

- Nuts like almonds, walnuts, pistachios, beans (including cocoa beans), and seeds like the sunflower seeds, melon seeds, etc are a part of a healthy eating DASH diet. They are rich in dietary fiber protein, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals like zinc and magnesium, etc. Although nuts contain the healthy fats, it would be wise to eat them in restricted amounts as they are high in calories. Also, avoid salted or honey roasted nuts for their high sodium and sugar content.

Lean meat, egg, poultry and fish in moderation rather than meats with high saturated fat content. Processed meats such as bacon, ham, sausages, salami, etc contain a significant amount of sodium, hence restrict the intake. Occasional intake of red meat is permitted.

Fruits and vegetables are naturally rich in potassium which plays an important role in lowering blood pressure. If you are one who is not fond of fruits and vegetables make the change gradually. Add an extra fruit or vegetable in the day in addition to what you are currently having a start. Prefer a whole fruit to juices. Unsweetened dried fruits like raisins, cranberries, dried figs, etc. are good travel choices. Make sure there is a vegetable at each meal.

- The diet should be low in saturated fats and total fats. A diet high in saturated fats increases the risk of heart disease and hypertension. Fats are important for the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and help in building the body's immune system. Use of oils like olive oil, rice bran oil, mustard oil should be promoted in each meal and trans fats which are commonly found in processed and fried food should be avoided.

To make this diet work even better here are some additional tips:

- Reducing alcohol intake may help reduce blood pressure. Hence, keep the alcohol intake under check.

- Aerobic exercise along with DASH diet works faster in lowering blood pressure according to FitFluential

- Read food labels to choose products that are lower in sodium.

- Stress can raise blood pressure even if the diet is healthy. Hence, stress management techniques like meditation, yoga, etc will help keep the blood pressure under check.

- Poor sleep increases blood pressure. So, 7-8 hours of sound sleep will help in keeping the blood pressure in control.

- If you are someone who smokes, then quitting it would help lower blood pressure.

- Take your medication as prescribed.

- Limit the salt intake to 1 tablespoon a day maximum. Making a lifestyle change is an effort. It is a long-term commitment which one has to make for good health.

Making smaller changes will bring in faster results than making dramatic changes all at once and losing the commitment along the way. Before getting on to the DASH diet consult a nutritionist, registered dietitian, or doctor who can help you in choosing a nutritional program that will boost performance and improve health.

The Right Chocolate Can Be Healthy, Affordable And Sustainable

right chocolate healthy craft artisanal dark cocoa lean startup life eating

It is tough eating healthy when working at a lean startup. There isn't a lot of money available and often times the only food that is eaten is what's cheap and convenient. Pizza and candy are definitely favorites found at many startups. That doesn't always translate into healthy workers or trim waistbands though.

Nobody likes to diet because it keeps them from eating their favorite foods. For most people that might mean pizza, pasta, alcohol, red meat, and worst of all chocolate! Well, Lean Startup Life is here to tell you that chocolate can still be part of your weight loss or bodybuilding diet and you will still get incredible results.

You just have to make sure that you are consuming healthier dark chocolate or artisanal craft chocolate instead of the cheap processed milk chocolate or white chocolate products that you usually find in your grocery store or brand name products.

Craft Chocolate

Craft chocolatiers create healthier and tastier chocolate products like artisan chocolate bars by hand and with all natural ingredients. There are fewer preservatives included in artisanal chocolate which means fewer chemicals and filler. The cocoa beans are also fresher and have a higher chance of being farmed organically or with reduced pesticides since they are often times from local farmers.

Aside from the health benefits, craft chocolate tastes amazing! Think of the difference in flavor between craft beers and the usual stale swill from cheap cases and you will get the idea of how much better craft chocolate tastes. The flavors are more diverse, richer, and more sophisticated. That means you can enjoy smaller amounts of chocolate with the same enjoyment and even less of an impact on your weight loss or bodybuilding diet.

What makes craft chocolate even better is the positive effect it has on both local economies and the environment. Craft chocolatiers work directly with local cocoa bean farmers and pay fair wages since the middleman is removed and they can charge higher prices to the customer than the competing corporations. Craft chocolatiers also usually use more environmentally friendly wrapping materials. You don't have to feel guilty about breaking your diet or harming the environment when you consume craft chocolate.

Dark Chocolate

Dark chocolate and recipes with dark chocolate are also healthier alternatives to the low-quality milk chocolate or white chocolate found in average products like candy bars and chocolate covered snacks.

Dark chocolate has higher levels of antioxidants, fiber, heart-healthy fat, minerals, and protein while containing less added sugar. It also usually has higher levels of natural caffeine which means you might be able to skip that extra cup of coffee that probably contains sugar, fat, and chemicals from flavor syrup.

Dark chocolate has been shown to improve alertness, protect your skin from sun damage, reduce bad cholesterol, lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of diabetes, and improve the immune system. It's a veritable superfood!

And if you want the perfect storm of healthy and delicious chocolate, look no further than craft dark chocolate!!

Chocolatey Conclusion

While you may need to eat in reasonable portions, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to include healthier chocolate into your weight loss diet. Everything in moderation after all, plus you'll need some treats to help keep you on the diet in the first place! Good luck and enjoy some sweet treats today!

I hope you enjoyed this article about eating the right kind of chocolate to maximize health benefits and reduce weight gain.
